Hi, thanks for stopping by The Crusty Bits. My name is Liz and I started this blog as a college project, but it quickly morphed into my online recipe book.
As a Midwesterner–Cleveland, Ohio, born and raised–I’m a big believer in practicality and simplicity. The majority of the recipes on here are either those handed down from family members or adapted from other sources. Appropriate credit and linkage will always be given to the original sources in any adapted recipes I post. That’s not my journalism background talking, it’s just good manners.
All of the photos on this site were taken by me unless otherwise noted. Clearly I am not a professional photographer/food stylist/etc., but I do try my best. I don’t post the shots with my thumb in them at least.
