I made a pie in December. It was apple. I’m not a pie person, but I figured I share the photos anyway. I followed Ina Garten’s recipe for “Deep-Dish Apple Pie.” I ate a slice, but it didn’t help that I hate baked apples. It was OK, but I preferred the vanilla ice cream that found its way next to the pie. It wasn’t even “real” ice cream, it was that low-sugar diabetic ice cream. Just needed to put some perspective on my dislike for apple pie.
Why did I make this again? No flippin’ clue, man.
Anyway, if you want the recipe click here. I added a 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger and I used pre-made pie crusts. Take it for what it is. I’ll have a better post later today with something that I actually put effort into. Here are some pie pictures for the hell of it.
Deep-dish pies are not going to hold together, deal with it.
